    5 Rules for Faster Payment

    • 1.Send the invoice the same day the job is done. Same-day invoices get paid roughly twice as fast as next-day invoices.
    • 2.Include a direct payment link. "Pay this invoice" as a clickable button outperforms "please mail check to..." by a huge margin.
    • 3.Use Net 14 as your default, not Net 30. For residential work, Net 14 is the new standard and most customers will pay within a week.
    • 4.Automate reminders. A polite reminder at 7, 14, and 21 days past due recovers most late invoices without burning the relationship.
    • 5.Include photos. Before and after photos of the work done make disputes dramatically less common.
